A homicide investigation has been launched in Timaru after three people were found dead. Police were called to a house on Queen Street in the suburb of Parkside just after 10pm on Thursday.
Three people were dead and one person has been taken to hospital.
Police say they are speaking to people living at the address and no-one else is being sought at this time.
Bill Lapthorn runs the Fitzgerald on King motel not far from where the incident happened.
He explained to reporter Emma Hatton what he saw when he drove past the scene at about 11pm on Thursday.
