The high profile court case of disgraced rich-lister Ron Brierley finally came to an end yesterday.
A Sydney judge sentenced the 84-year-old to 14 months jail with a seven-month non-parole period for possessing images of child sex abuse.
Sentencing him, Judge Sarah Huggett rejected the defence's claims that he did not realise the images he had were illegal.
Brierley has admitted a lifelong attraction to pre-pubescent girls.
Child advocacy group Stop Demand founder Denise Ritchie says the punishment fits the crime.
She spoke to Kim Hill.
