Covid-19: Clashes over new restrictions across Europe

Europe is being torn apart by anger and division over anti-Covid measures.

Violent clashes have been seen, night after night, across numerous countries, as new restrictions are brought in.

Austrians are back under its fourth blanket lockdown, a move officials have described as a "sledgehammer" method to crush rising case numbers.

The government's also furiously writing up laws to make vaccinations compulsory, which will come into effect from February.

Europe correspondent Thomas Sparrow spoke to Susie Ferguson.
