Just two motel units have been set aside in Queenstown for people who might need to isolate with Covid-19 in the Christmas holidays - despite tens of thousands of Aucklanders about to hit town.
Mini-MIQs are being set up all over the country in places that don't have them already in case people who live there - or are visiting - can't isolate at home.
