Covid-19 cases in the UK have reached a new record, with more than 106,000 new daily cases announced within the last couple of hours.
The Omicron variant is spreading quickly throughout the nation, and the UK Government has announced overnight that vaccinations should be given to all vulnerable children aged between 5 and 11.
However, in England, reduced the self-isolation period of people who test positive for Covid-19 from 10 days to seven, as long as the person has provided two negative lateral flow tests.
