The past seven years have been the hottest on record, that's according to new EU data.
Last year was the fifth warmest year ever - while extreme weather such heatwaves and floods caused chaos, and wildfires raged in Canada and the US.
And at home, NIWA releases its annual climate survey this morning - 2021 temperatures are expected to be in the top three years ever.
