The UK is considering sending extra British troops to Eastern Europe as the tension between Russia and Ukraine continues to escalate .
This would double the current British deployment in the region.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson says the move will be a "clear message to the Kremlin". This comes as he prepares to travel to eastern Europe in a few days time.
NATO is also weighing up options to increase pressure on Russia and will discuss the offer of extra troops today.
