Two families of Northern New Zealand dotterels are enjoying world-class harbour views from their nests in the gravel on Auckland's Wynyard Point.
The Point is the site of an old Shell silo park but it's empty now - so the dotterels have moved in and hatched their chicks.
Auckland Council senior conservation advisor Ben Paris says it's an opportunity to learn more about the tuturiwhatu.
