A former MP who has joined protesters at Parliament says they would leave if the Government set a date for removing mandates.
The former National Party MP Matt King says the issue of mandates is important to him.
"It's an issue that's dear to my heart. So, I'm there, not as a leader, but as a person and joining in and supporting the protesters."
He told Morning Report the protesters want the mandates gone and argued vaccination was not voluntary when it was needed to keep your job.
King resigned from the National Party before joining the protest.
The National Party says does not support the actions or anti-vaccination messages of the protesters.
