A top Māori doctor says Aotearoa should have moved into phase 2 last week.
Aotearoa will move to the new setting at 11:59pm on Tuesday, which will see changes to the way we have contact traced up until now.
Dr Rawiri McKree Jansen says Omicron has changed the game and phase 2 allows health workers to do things differently.
He spoke to Susie Ferguson.
