The Buller District is struggling to recover from the record rainfall that doused the region this month, having been forced to extend its State of Emergency.
Dual flood events wreaked havoc on roads in particular while fresh water supplies have been compromised and up to 70 rural properties remain in need of repair.
To top it off, there's more heavy rain forecast for the West Coast this weekend.
