Covid-19: Support scheme not enough for some operators

The latest Covid-19 Support Payment to a maximum of $24,000 dollars might not be enough for business operators in our tourist towns.

The government's package is available for businesses struggling in the Omicron environment, and nowhere - according to both of our next guests - have times been tougher than in Queenstown and Rotorua.

Steve Bradley runs a number of food outlets in Queenstown, while Reg Hennessy is a Rotorua bar owner and president of the local branch of Hospitality NZ, who also works closely with the local tourism operators in general.

They spoke to Susie Ferguson.
