Russian forces are continuing to make significant advances in the south of Ukraine.
Yesterday there were reports the city of Kherson had fallen and now the port city of Mariupol is under sustained attack. If more southern cities are captured Ukrainian forces could be cut off from the sea.
Kherson in Ukraine is the first major city that has fallen to Russia.
This comes as a large Russian convoy remains some distance from the capital Kyiv.
