National wants the Immigration Minister to boost his response to the Ukraine crisis.
The Government on Wednesday will rush through legislation to impose more sanctions on Russia and individuals associated with the invasion.
The opposition is supporting the move but said more needed to be done to ensure Ukrainians and their families could seek refuge here.
