Russia accused US of an "economic war"

Russia has accused the US of waging an economic war and sowing mayhem through energy markets.

The US announced a complete ban on Russian oil and gas, with the EU and the UK also weaning off Russian products over a transition period.

Russia is also a big exporter of grains - and experts say the conflict could have a ripple effect on the global food supply.
