There's a big shake up for public media on the way, with the Broadcasting Minister expected to confirm today a new mega entity - incorporating RNZ and TVNZ.
If it goes to plan, it could be in place by the middle of 2023.
This has been a long time in the making, and the proposal's been kept under tight wraps as it's gone through the Cabinet process in recent months.
Labour first floated 'RNZ-Plus' in an effort to bolster public broadcasting at the 2017 election, but the plan's shifted and changed dramatically since then.
