Ukraine invasion: Russian news editor accuses own show of broadcasting propaganda

A news editor has been arrested for protesting Russian propaganda on her own show has appeared in Court.

She walked in to the live show- a state-controlled prime time news programme - holding a sign reading: "No war, stop the war, don't believe the propaganda, they are lying to you here."

Marina Ovsyannikova is an editor at the Channel1.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called it a brave act.

Ovsyannikova also filmed a video, saying she was ashamed of her employer spreading Kremlin propoganda.

She says she's delivered propoganda on behalf of the Russian state, and apologises to the audience.
