Ukrainians in NZ applies to sponsor special visas

Ukrainians in New Zealand are grateful the government's sending more resources to help Ukraine defend itself from Russia.

The government's sending over body armour, helmets and vests, along with five million dollars to the NATO Trust Fund.

Processing of special visas for immediate family of Ukranians with residency or citizenship in Aotearoa is underway. Immigration New Zealand has received 314 sponsorship requests since the scheme opened last week.

Andrew Dubobyi is a Ukranian living in Tāmaki Makarau who's applied to be a sponsor.
