Hollywood is getting ready up for its biggest night of the year - the Oscars begin in just a few hours.
Wellington-born director Jane Campion's Western The Power of the Dog leads the field with 12 nominations going into the ceremony.
The Western film, which was shot in Otago, is one of the favourites for the Best Picture award, but there may be a surprise in store.
