A Māori Party leader believes the justice system has no sympathy for the family of a Taranaki man shot dead by police.
Debbie Ngarewa-Packer says Kaoss Price's whānau is under extreme duress, and police have done little to support them.
She spoke to Māni Dunlop.
Police were invited on the programme to respond but declined
Assistant Commissioner Sandra Venables said in a statement:
"While the various investigations in relation to the death of Kaoss Price are ongoing, Police are not able to outline or provide certain specific information.
"We expect we will be able to give further detail and context in the fullness of time."
