The Deputy Prime Minister acknowledges many New Zealanders are facing a tough time, in his response to a poor poll result for the Government.
The Newshub Reid Research poll out last night has Labour dropping into the high 30s, with National nudging into the 40s.
Grant Robertson told Morning Report two years of the pandemic and inflation are creating a challenging time.
However he says Labour got the country through Covid-19 well, both economically and in terms of health.
