Food prices continue to rise but there's some good news for consumers.
Vegetable supplies throughout winter are expected to be good and the prices stable.
That's the prediction from Vegetables New Zealand chair John Murphy, who's a Blenheim-based grower of garlic and shallots.
He's also got a tip for shoppers - go for the specials and when there's good value, and be prepared to substitute.
