The Government's plan to shake up the supermarket duopoly has the backing of consumer groups, but will it actually bring down your groceries bills?
Under the changes a grocery sector watchdog will be set up and a mandatory code of conduct will be introduced.
Supermarkets will also be forced to open up their wholesale arms to would-be competitors if they haven't already done so by the end of the year.
The crackdown comes as Labour continues to be hurt by the risingcost-of-living crisis.
