First it was double-vaxed, now it's double-boosted - those most vulnerable to Covid-19 will soon be eligible for their second booster.
The government is introducing a Bill to amend legislation so hundreds of thousands of vulnerable people can access a second booster next month.
The proposed eligible groups are people aged 65 years and over, Māori and Pacific peoples aged 50 years and over, residents of aged care and disability care facilities and severely immunocompromised people who have received a three-dose primary course and a first booster.
Auckland University associate professor of public health and the associate dean of the Pacific programme at the medical school Sir Collin Tukuitonga spoke to Corin Dann.
