New Zealand's sharemarket has continued to go downhill as it closed at its lowest point in more than two years.
The benchmark NZX-50 index trimmed its losses but has ended down 283 points or 2.6 percent, the biggest single session fall since late February.
The falls follow further slumps on US markets with fears rising over whether the central bank can tame inflation.
