The Green Party says Aotearoa has little to brag about at a United Nations Conference focused on protecting oceans.
The Oceans and Fisheries Minister will speak at the conference in Portugal, to try to spur further sustainability action on the high seas.
Te Pati Maori Co-leader Debbie Ngarewa-Packer is also co-hosting a side-event in Lisbon on Deep Sea Mining, but refused to be part of the New Zealand delegation, saying the government is failing to make a stand.
