It was quite the first day back for Parliament, after a long winter recess.
National leader Chris Luxon was smarting after a social media gaffe, the Greens front bench was putting on a brave face after the weekend's leadership bombshell, and the government is clearly feeling the weight of an economy under severe pressure.
The problem for Luxon was social media posts last week featuring him saying he was in Te Puke, when in fact he was holidaying in Hawaii with his family.
It was back into the hot house of Parliament for the Greens, still reeling - and down one co-leader - after James Shaw was unceremoniously dumped, and now faces another vote if he's to regain his position.
