Waka Kotahi expects road closures due to rain

Waka Kotahi is anticipating road closures across the top of the South Island as heavy rain and floods hit the region System manager Andrew James says all roads remain open at the moment, but warns they could be closed at any time. Some roads are already seeing light flooding in and around Takaka. Mr James says travellers near Golden Bay and Buller should only travel if absolutely necessary.
