Some evacuated Nelson residents are being allowed back to their homes to survey the destruction caused by last week's floods.
At least 570 properties have been damaged, and there are warnings that number could climb as the remaining homes are inspected. Maggie Gray lives on Nile Street near the Maitai River.
Her property's been yellow-stickered, meaning she's allowed to check her house, but she can't move back in yet.
