Australia beats NZ in first Chappell-Hadlee game

Australia has come away with a nervy two-wicket victory against New Zealand in the opening one-day cricket international of the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy in Cairns.

Devon Conway top scored for New Zealand with 46 opening the batting, as the Black Caps amassed 232 in the first innings.

Trent Boult struck early in the chase, removing Aaron Finch, Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne smartly.

Chasing for victory, Australia initially slumped for 44-5 before Cameron Green combined in a 158-run with Alex Carey, who made 85, to revive their chase.
