Latest figures from Statistics New Zealand show greenhouse gas emissions dropped in 10 out of 16 regions between 2019 and last year.
Some regions fared worse than others with Waikato's emissions rising a couple of percent.
But in Taranaki, emissions dropped 18 percent.
