The Finance Minister says the situation around the New Zealand dollar remains volatile, with much of the impact stemming back to the strength of the US dollar.
The Kiwi took further hits overnight, and is near 13 year lows.
Grant Robertson told Morning Report that there are factors that New Zealand can control, and some it can't.
Robertson says a lower dollar will mean the price of imported goods can go up and put pressure on inflation - but some of the supply chain issues, such as shipping costs, are starting to come down.
