A lobby group says Auckland Transport's decision to close a number of train lines for months next year is a bolt out of the blue.
Thousands of commuters on the Onehunga, Southern and Eastern lines will have to catch buses instead.

He is skeptical that bus replacement services will cope because existing buses are often cancelled.
