Trial opens for Wellington musician accused of sexual assault

A woman has told the Wellington District Court that she had fallen asleep and was woken by a man as he raped her.

A 25-year-old musician denies eight charges including sexual violation and indecent assault, from six complainants, over three years up to 2020.

Lauren Crimp was at the trial's opening day and filed this report.
