Ruapehu Alpine Lifts has announced it has appointed voluntary administrators after facing significant financial problems.

In a statement it said the business had been placed under significant cash flow pressure after three difficult years, with the impact of Covid-19 restrictions, paired with poor weather this season.

John Fisk and Richard Nacey of PwC have been appointed as the voluntary administrators.
