A property developer is taking the government's housing agency, Kāinga Ora, to court alleging anti-competitive conduct.
Winton had wanted Kāinga Ora to use its powers under the Urban Development Act to facilitate the company's Sunfield development in South Auckland, which would comprise 4400 homes, three retirement villages, and create 11,000 permanent jobs.
They say Kāinga Ora is refusing to use its powers when the private sector is involved, instead using the power for its own benefit.
Winton's chief executive Chris Meehan spoke to Corin Dann.
