Auckland first 15 rugby won't be broadcast live next year - after secondary school principals agreed putting games on television was affecting the wellbeing of students.
In a combined statement, the principals said they had "declined" live coverage as college rugby was increasingly becoming an extension of the professional game.
Sir Graham Henry spent 25 years teaching and coaching the first fifteens at two of Auckland's biggest schools before becoming All Blacks coach.
