More could have been achieved at COP27 - expert

A former chair of UN climate change negotiations says COP27 has done very little to advance the core task of limiting global warming. 

The summit wrapped up in Egypt this week with a loss and damages fund to pay poorer countries for damage wrought by climate change widely considered to be the jewel in the summit's crown. 

Former negotiations chair Professor Adrian Macey, from the New Zealand Climate Change Institute, believes more could have been achieved.
