Rising interest rates puts Aucklander in tight squeeze

The cost of living is still creeping up, and some Kiwis are finding themselves in tough financial straits with mortgages due to come off fixed rates soon.

Interest rates got as low as two point two five percent in 2021, now they're more like seven percent.

It has left Auckland man Rory O'Sullivan trying to find an extra two thousand dollars a month to pay for a roof over his head.

He spoke to Jimmy Ellingham.
