A constant during Chris Hipkins' time as the MP for Remutaka has been Upper Hutt mayor Wayne Guppy.
Guppy was there to greet Hipkins into the role in 2008, and 15 years on he has spent a lot of time with the new Prime Minister.
Lower Hutt's Mayor Campbell Barry is also feeling very proud.
