California police have identified the gunman suspected of killing 10 people in a ballroom dance studio near Los Angeles as 72 year old Huu Can Tra.
The man shot and klled himself inside a white van which had been surrounded by police 30 kilometres from the scene of the mass shooting.
There is still no answer about his motives.
LA County Sheriff Robert Luna says the shooting was an act of senseless violence.
