Dunedin's council will consider today whether it will spend up to $130,000 dollars to fight cuts to the city's new hospital.
The cost of building the hospital ballooned by 200-million dollars and last month the government responded with an additional $110 million.
That left a $90 million shortfall - which is being met through changes to the hospital's design with fewer beds, operating theatres and MRI units than were originally planned.
