A sodden Coromandel is in for another round of heavy downpours today.
A red rain warning came into effect at 10pm and will remain in place until 4pm.
About 73 millimetres of rain accumulated across parts of the Coromandel Ranges overnight, while the townships have so far been largely spared.
But MetService says the worst is yet to come.
