An economist says the government's decision to extend the fuel tax subsidy until the end of June, is a way of buying votes ahead of the Election in October.
The government had planned to phase out the subsidy by the end of next month, only to make a drastic U-turn yesterday.
Economist Brad Olsen says the change of tune is not good economic policy.
