Minor slip in Albany after overnight rain

Rain has continued to fall in the Upper North Island overnight but it seems most areas residents may have escaped significant falls. In the last 12 hours, 10 to 14 mils of rain fell across parts of the Bay of Plenty. Auckland had some reprieve with less than 10 mils of rain falling in the city, and 5 to 15 mils fell throughout Northland. There has been a minor slip in Albany on the North Shore. And further south, Fire and Emergency says six houses have been evacuated in Kopu Tauaki Bay in the Coromandel after a slip blocked a stream vernight update here Metservice meterologist Karl Loots spoke to Kim Hill.
