Thousands of people across the motu are again waking up this morning displaced and disconnected after cyclone Gabrielle's impact.
Six people have died, more than 3000 are still uncontactable and there are grave concerns for several people missing.
Evacuation centres are in high-demand and donations are pouring in across the country.
