Heavy rain appears to be on its way to Hawke's Bay and Tai Rāwhiti on Thursday and Friday, after a week of relative calm following Cyclone Gabrielle.
The stormy weather could be at its worst in central areas of the North Island, from Taihape to Palmerston North.
