Flood survivors who've been through hell are now waiting in limbo.
Most of the flood waters have now gone and the mud left is beginning to cake, but more than 750 people are thought to be in emergency shelters in Hawke's Bay alone.
Many families are still waiting to hear if they'll have a home to return to.
