A community sports leader is concerned keeping sport going in some Cyclone Gabrielle-hit regions could become "insurmountable".
The chief executive of Sport Gisborne Tai Rāwhiti Stefan Pishief says sport might be too hard, too costly or too far away for people already under immense pressure.

The Government yesterday announced a special fundraising appeal to raise money to support recovery efforts from Cyclone Gabrielle.
A separate special Lotto draw will also be held on March 18 with all proceeds going to affected communities including sports bodies.
