Some health leaders see the sacking of Rob Campbell as chair of Te Whatu Ora as a way to steer the health agency in a better direction.
Campbell took to LinkedIn at the weekend to criticise National's Three Waters policy as a thin disguise for dog-whistling on co-governance.
He maintains those comments were made in a private capacity, but the Health Minister decided otherwise.
